Art Director
ABOUT THE AGENCY
Talking Dog is the University of Georgia’s full-service student-run agency. As the Art Director of the Coca-Cola account, I was tasked with concepting, designing, pitching, and presenting ideas to both the agency and to our client. In the end, we presented our work to the in-house creatives of Coca-Cola, including the Integrated Marketing & Content Excellence Group Director, the Senior Manager of Brand PR, and Senior Vice President of Strategic Marketing.
— CONCEPT ONLY —
OUR TASK
Coca-Cola assigned us the task of engaging the Gen Z population by creating a unique sensory Pop-Up experience that encapsulates the pure essence of Coca-Cola. We pitched several concepts, brainstormed structure, room layout, features, the best cities to locate the Pop-Up, and also researched artists to create design elements. Ultimately, the name “One Pop Stop” and the following logo design were chosen. Our vision was to take consumers on a hyperbolic journey that showcases key elements of Coca-Cola’s brand in an engaging way.
THE FINAL CONCEPT
ARTISTS
These were the five artists chosen and featured in our One Pop Stop concept. Our intention was for each of them to create original pieces that would be featured throughout the Pop-Up experience. From left to right: Timothy Goodman, Emmanuelle Moureaux, Daniel Rozin, Kohei Nawa, and Christoph Neimann.
THE PROCESS
Prior to our final concept, we brainstormed three other concepts with twelve additional logos designs, three different color palettes, and a countless number of name ideas. These were a few other creative ideas we played with. Our concepts included bringing back colors from Coca-Cola’s history in a new and modern way and developing logo designs for the names “Fizz Factory” and “Refresh Inc.”
